A Day with the Heiple's

On Saturday Grandma and Grandpa Heiple came down to visit. Olivia and Joey loved playing with them. We all went out to lunch, visited the Country Market, and had a belated birthday party for Joey. It was nice spending time with them.
Someone was ready for a nap!

Happy Mother's Day

What a Mother's Day! Every year seems like the best Mother's Day ever, but then the next year Jas, Olivia, and Joey make it even more special. On Mother's Day I woke up to two very adorable kids who couldn't wait to give me my gifts. They gave me a beautiful lounge chair for the patio, a new weather station (Bella chewed up the other one), the movie "The Blind Side," and an awesome photo frame for my classroom...yes I am spoiled!

Olivia and Jason worked together to build my new lounger so I could enjoy it on my special day.

Jas had to take off for work, so Olivia, Joey, and I spent the day playing outside and spending quality time together. Then to our surprise, Grandpa Dressler came down for a visit and to give me a Mother's Day gift. We had a lot of fun playing outside, and Olivia and Grandpa got to dance!

Mother's Day night, Jas, Olivia, and Joey treated me to a delicious dinner at Amber Jack's. It had been four years since I had ate there. They have good food. Then we headed to my favorite place, Barnes and Noble. I love sitting back, reading books, and watching Olivia and Joey look through books.

Finally, we headed home and went to bed. What a great Mother's Day!!!
On Sunday, we went to Grandma and Jim's house for a belated Mother's Day. Olivia and Joey made a beautiful planter for Grandma for Mother's Day.

Alpha Boy

Mr. Joseph has become quite the alphabet whiz. Everyday Jason and Olivia practice their letters and numbers. While they do this, Joseph sits nearby and listens. Well, little did we know, he was actually paying attention and learning his letters too. Right now he knows about 12-13 letters. The other night, Olivia, Joey, and I went to Walmart to pick up a few things. As we went down the aisles, Joey pointed at the signs and told me the letters on the signs. He also CONSTANTLY repeated the Walmart letters on the cart :). I have two alpha kids! Olivia's video is coming...

Crazy Kids

Thursday night we were just hanging out at home. Joey and Olivia both had colds this week, so I tried to keep things low-key most of the week. While I was unpacking some diapers and collecting garbage, Olivia and Joey were going crazy with all of the boxes. I tell you, it is the little things in life, that make them the happiest. Joey got cackling, laughing so hard at Olivia making faces at him. I captured some of his cute cackling faces on camera.

My First Mother's Day Tea

On Thursday afternoon, I was invited to Olivia's preschool for a Mother's Day Tea. I was SO excited to go to my first of many teas. As a teacher I host them all of the time and couldn't await the day that I could attend Olivia and Joey's teas...that time has finally come! The children sang us a beautiful song, treated us to punch and cookies, and made an amazing flower pot, filled with cake, topped off with Oreo crumbs and a flower picture. After the tea, the kids had some down time to play; it was really nice watching Olivia play and interact with her friends. I love being a MOMMY!

Poor Mrs. Ayers quickly became the bridge.

This is Olivia's friend Abigail, Abigail lives three houses down from us.

Mmmmm......

Wednesday night, Joey had his first experience at making brownies. To quote Joey, they were "Mmmmm!"

Dog-gone Cute

The other night, I actually got some one-on-one time with Ollie and Bella (which rarely happens). They reminded me how extremely lovable they are. They truly are kids 3 and 4 in the Heiple house.
