Let the Fun Begin...

Well it is time to start potty training Mr. Joseph if he is to go to Preschool next year. Joey has a lot of interest in the potty and is telling us when he is poopy, but I have a feeling that he is going to be quite a stinker when it comes to potty training him. We will see!

Go Rockets!

This week was Rochester's Homecoming. I love homecoming week at school, fall is in the air, you get to have fun and dress crazy at school, and at the end of the week you can get together as a community for the school parade and football game.

On Friday I took Livi and Joey to the Homecoming Parade, and OH MY GOSH did we get candy! Olivia's bag was half-way full of candy. It was a lot of fun seeing my past students and current students in the parade and some of Olivia's friends who are a little older than her were in the parade too. Next year Miss Olivia will have the opportunity to ride in the parade as part of the Kindergarten class...believe it or not. She is already talking about when she can be in the parade and throw candy :)

Doggy Buffet

Welcome to the Heiple Doggy Buffet!

All About Olivia!

Olivia and I had some homework this week. We had to fill out her "All About Me" page for school. Here is how it turned out...

My favorite part of the whole page is when I asked her what she wanted to be when she grew up, and she said a Barbie Musketeer!

Sleepy Puppy

We must wear her out!

Olivia's First Field Trip

On Friday Olivia went on her very first field trip! I was able to take the morning off and go with her. We went to the Apple Barn with her Preschool class. It was a lot of fun!

The children were able to walk around the apple orchard, through the large garden, and sample an apple at the end (of course my picky eater said no thank you because she only likes golden delicious apples). They were taught about how apples grow, all the different kinds of apples, other fruits and vegetables, and what they use their produce for. Along the way we also got introduce to a garden snake. Of course all of the children were intrigued, but all of the moms stayed clear.

Throughout the field trip I came to find that Olivia is a very affectionate friend. She is always wanting to hold her friends hands, and her teachers told me that she is always wanting to make the children feel good and welcome. They said she is always compassionate towards those crying in class and wants to help them feel better....all I have to say is TOO CUTE! She is always like that with Joey at home, but I was not aware that she was like that with her classmates.

At the end of the field trip, Olivia and I went into the Apple Barn bakery and indulged in some delicious desserts! We brought daddy some mouth watering cinnamon rolls and Joey a cookie the size of his head.

What a great field trip!

Happy 50th Birthday Jim!!!

This Thursday was Jim's 50th birthday, and I swear he doesn't look a day older than 29! To celebrate, mom threw Jim a surprise birthday party at Ryan's Buffet. It was really nice to get both families and friends together to celebrate Jim's special day...he deserves it. Happy birthday Jim!

Family Night at the Park

We were feeling a little cooped up after supper so we decided to bring the whole family to the park. Jason and Olivia ran with the dogs, while Joey and mommy played at the park. I absolutely love being able to have family time with ALL of the family!!!

Great Grandma and Grandpa

After spending the afternoon with Grandpa Dressler, Livi, Joey, and I headed to Great Grandma and Grandpa Sennott's house for the rest of the night. This was the first time that Livi and Joey stayed the night at Great Grandma and Grandpa's house, and they loved it! They played and played all night long, and then crashed. On Sunday morning, we all went to church and then went back to their house and played for awhile longer.

Then the Heiple clan loaded up the van and headed back to Rochester. What an AMAZING weekend!

Thank you to grandma and grandpa for delicious dinner, and for opening their house to us!

An Afternoon with Grandpa

Shortly after the parade, Livi, Joey, and I headed out to the farm to spend the afternoon with dad. We LOVE going out to the farm and running around. Then grandpa treated us to some DQ ice cream and we all headed to the Elephant Park.
The elephant park is the park I grew up at. I lived right across the street from the park, and spent all of my childhood there. I have so many memories of playing with my friends, learning to ride my bike, swinging, and learning how to spin around the pool at the slide. It was so neat to be able to share those memories with Livi and Joey, and walk down memory lane with dad.

After playing for awhile, dad, Livi, Joey, and I all walked back up to the fair and let Livi ride a few last rides. It was an amazing afternoon with Grandpa Dressler!
