First Stop...Minnesota

I apologize for not blogging the past couple of weeks...I have heard grief from quite a few people.

The Heiple family has been on vacation the past two weeks...and it was GREAT!!! To put it in perspective, if you think about last year this time, we had Joey in the NICU so we never went on vacation, we spent all winter at home because of the risks to Joey, and Jason and I have been working opposite schedules so that we can keep the kids home and quiet. We would never have done it any other way...but boy did we need a vacation! It was so nice have time with our families and time together. We got to be a family of four for two whole weeks...it was wonderful!

For the first week of our vacation, we traveled up to Minnesota to Uncle Frank's Cabin. Uncle Frank has a very nice cabin right off a lake in Richmond, MN. An added bonus to the trip was that Uncle Frank stayed in the cabin with us. He is a great man and always reminds me so much of my Great Grandpa Fran. Grandpa and Grandma Heiple, Uncle Rob, Kolbe, Aunt Jessica, Samuel, Luke, and baby Abe were also there. The kids had fun playing around the house and got to do a little fishing, but unfortunately it was unseasonably cold up there so they couldn't swim. It was really nice to have everyone together!

A BIG thank you to Uncle Frank for opening his cabin doors to us, and to Grandma and Grandpa Heiple for all of the delicious dinners and fun!
