Making a Fashion Statement

Olivia is setting a new trend. She is in one of her new gymnastics leotards, her winter boots and an accenting headband...too funny!

A Trip to the Fire House

This week Joey's school took a field trip to the Springfield Fire House. At first Joey wasn't too sure about being there. There were a lot of strange faces, they were demonstrating the fire alarms, and it was just too much. Then I put him up in the driver's seat of the fire truck and he was all about it. He loved exploring the fire truck, the fire house, and trying on the fire man's clothes. Joey had a great time on his very first field trip!

"Belaxing"

Tonight was such a chilly night, Olivia thought it was best if she and Joey take an early bath, get snug in their pajamas, and "belax." I love quiet nights at home!

Harvest Time!

Today Livi, Joey, and I went up north to El Paso to help Grandpa Dressler and Dave harvest corn. I always try to get Livi and Joey up there every fall because they love riding in the combine and tractor. This year Joey was able to drive (steer) the combine and Olivia was able to drive the tractor. After harvesting for awhile, we all headed into town for some lunch, and then we loaded up the van and headed home. We had a great morning out on the farm!

Good Shepard Meet and Greet Picnic

This week Olivia's preschool had a meet and greet picnic for the 4 year old preschool families. Since I went on Olivia's field trip to the Apple Barn, Jason and Joey went to the picnic. Olivia loved running around with all of her friends, and Joey discovered how much fun preschool will be next year.

Who needs toys?

Once again, Olivia and Joey prove that they don't need a room full of toys, they just need a box. This box entertained them for about an hour!

Happy Birthday Mommy!

That's right...I have entered into a new decade of my life...my thirties. I had an amazing birthday! It started the best way possible, with morning mass. I need all the blessings I can get since I am 30! I was also surprised by a nice sign and balloons in my yard (thank you mom and Jim). Then we came home and Olivia and Jason made me a delicious pancake breakfast.

After breakfast Jason, Livi, and Joey, gave me birthday presents. I got a new shower head (VERY nice), a new shower caddy, and new kitchen towels. I also received a few gifts early in the year (my new refrigerator, dish washer, and kitchen floor).

Later in the afternoon, we all went out and ran some errands and went to my favorite store, Barnes and Noble. I love sitting in the kids section and reading books while snacking on a rice krispie treat!

For dinner, Jason gave me a HUGE surprise, A SURPRISE PARTY!!! I couldn't believe it. He told me he made reservations at a restaurant but would not tell me where. So he drove me to Chesapeake Bay, walked me into a room that was filled with all of my family. It was amazing and got me teary eyed. I always knew I was blessed with a fantastic husband, but he showed me once again how great he is! After dinner, everyone came back to our house where Jason had delicious cake and ice cream ready for us.

A BIG thank you to Jason and the kids for a wonderful birthday. Another BIG thank you to all of my family for traveling down and surprising me. I will never forget this birthday!
