Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve was very special for us this year! In the afternoon, Grandma and Grandpa Heiple came down to have lunch with us and spend time with us. Livi and Joey loved playing with them! Then we all got dressed up and went to Mass together. Mom, Jim, and Brittany were also able to go to Mass with us...having all of our family together made Christmas Eve Mass so special! I would love to see this become a tradition.

It was also very special because Olivia sang in the choir for the first time and did a fantastic job!
After Mass, we went over to Mom and Jim's house to have dinner. To our surprise, Santa had already made it to Mom and Jim's house, and left some presents for Olivia and Joey! I tell you what, they must have been REALLY good, because Santa was very good to them. Olivia received a Barbie dream house (along with many other nice gifts), and Joey received a John Deere pedal tractor and a drum set (along with many other nice gifts). Thank you Grandma, Jim, and Brittany for all of our gifts and for a delicious dinner! You were amazingly generous and we truly appreciated everything!
Finally, later in the evening, we packed up the Heiple sleigh and headed home so that Santa could come to our house. Livi and Joey placed Baby Jesus into our manger and set out Ho-Ho's (Olivia's idea since Santa says "Ho-Ho-Ho") and carrots for Santa and his reindeer.
