This weekend Rochester held their annual "Sparks in the Park" carnival. On Friday Jas and I brought Livi and Joey to the carnival. Livi and Joey love going to ride rides, play games, and snack on the carnival food. This year Joey wanted nothing to do with the rides. I was shocked because last summer we couldn't keep him off the rides and this year we couldn't get him on the rides. So while Livi rode the rides, Joey walked around, took in all of the action, and ate his popcorn. Luckily Livi's friends Hadley, Brooke T., Colleen, Brooke Z., and Ashley were at the fair, and she was able to ride some rides with them. That made it a lot more fun to ride!
On Saturday, Grandma and Jim came over and went with us to the Fourth of July parade. Livi was ready and determined to get a bag full of candy this year and she succeeded. Joey was content with sitting with Grandma and Jim and oohing and ahhing over all of the floats. Livi's favorite floats were the ones that gave beads and flags, and Joey's favorite part was the marching band. He was amazed by the band!
After the parade, Grandma, Jim, Livi, Joey, and I headed to the fair. Once again Joey did want to ride rides, so Livi got to ride anything she wanted. Later, Jason met us there and took Olivia on the big ferris wheel and the Sizzler. Then we ended our day with a delicious waffle cone treat. As Joey said with every bite..."Mmmmmm!"
