Where is Peter Cottontail???

The Heiple's spent much of the week preparing for the Easter bunny to come. On Saturday we went to the mall and visited the Easter bunny. As we expected, Olivia and Joey were not too happy about sitting on their lap, so the picture soon turned into a family photo.

Also on Saturday, I took Olivia and Joey to an Easter egg hunt hosted by Olivia's preschool. Joey really got into hunting eggs this year. He really got a kick out of finding them and putting them in his basket. Olivia had an advantage this year being the oldest in her age group. She did a nice job looking out for the little kids, though, and made sure that she hunted in the back of the field so the babies could get the closer eggs. They both came out with a slew of candy!

Olivia was able to see a lot of her friends at the egg hunt. Here she is with "Jillybean" and Caroline. Caroline goes to preschool with Olivia.

On Thursday we went over to Grandma and Jim's house to play for awhile. Olivia loves "dancing" with Jim (more like climb all over him) and Joey loves to run all over and explore. Mom and Jim have a huge pink bunny that they set by their staircase. Joey LOVES this bunny and always wants to carry it around and snuggle with it. It is so funny because the bunny is just his size and weighs more than him. Our little boy is something else!!!

Then on Saturday night, we "painted" Easter eggs. Joey LOVED this, especially the part where you drop the egg in the dye and it splashes everywhere. Joey also squeezed one of his eggs and it broke all over him. He was a little grosed out by this.
