Heiple Vacation Part 2

After coming home from Indiana Beach, we quickly unpacked, did laundry, and then repacked for the second part of our vacation. We headed up to Metamora for a couple of days for fishing, games, and fun with the Heiple family. Olivia caught two fish! Then on Tuesday we headed up to Utica, Illinois (very close to Starved Rock) to the Grizzly Jack Grand Bear Resort. That was such a nice place to go for a two day getaway. They have a great indoor water park, indoor amusement park, an awesome putt-putt course, and an outdoor playground. We all stayed in a cottage (that slept 18 people), and was absolutely beautiful!

Livi and Joey had a great time playing with all of their family. On Tuesday when we got there, we all instantly went swimming. Once again Livi and Joey were little fish! The water park had two large water slides (Jason really liked those), a big swimming pool/wave pool, little slides for kids, a lazy river, and a water play station. Tuesday night we were able to celebrate Kolbe's 9th birthday! He turns 9 this week, but we always celebrate while we are together. On Wednesday we started off swimming in the morning and then went to the indoor amusement park. Livia continued to amaze me at all of the "big girl" rides that she went on with Jason. Then on Thursday we all checked out of the cottage and then went swimming and riding before leaving. Jason, Livi, Joey, and I also squeezed in one game of putt-putt! We had to...it is Olivia's favorite thing to do outside:). When ever you see Jason next, you will have to ask him who won the game...by two points :).

As you can imagine, traveling home on Thursday was very peaceful. We had two sleeping kids and a sleeping mommy :). A big thank you to Grandma and Grandpa Heiple for a fun getaway! We really enjoyed swimming, riding, and playing games together. You can't beat spending quality time with family!

Joey's favorite part was the "choo choo train" that brought us around the resort.
