Blogging Hiatus

I was told last night by my mom that it has been awhile since I updated our blog. I have to admit I was on a blogging hiatus, but life has been busy. Over the past few weeks we have had birthdays, Valentine's Day, deaths in the family, wedding showers, illness, and I was packed at school with evaluations, portfolios, field trips, literacy nights, and just teaching. I am happy to say though, that we can finally slow down and take a breath. This weekend is dedicated to staying at home, catching up on much needed house work, relaxing, and playing. Here are a few pics from the last several weeks that are too cute to leave out...

Another Olivia fashion statement...too darn cute for words!

Ring Around the Rosie with a Twist

Here is Joey's version of "Ring Around the Rosie."

Computer Experts

To this day Olivia and Joey amaze me with their technology knowledge. I know that it is the way of life these days, but I am ashamed to say that my 5 and 2 year old children know how to maneuver my iPhone better than me!

A couple of weeks ago I bought Olivia a new phonics computer game that she and Joey love to play. It reviews letters, sounds, rhyming words, and introduces new vocabulary. Everyday, while I am tutoring, they get to play the game for about 10-15 minutes. I can't believe how she can play this game by herself without ANY assistance from me!

Stephanie's Wedding Shower

A couple weeks ago, Grandma Sennott, Kelly, Mom, Livi, Joey, and I hosted a wedding shower for Stephanie. (It is hard to believe that the wedding is only two weeks away!) I wasn't able to take a lot of pictures because I was busy hosting the games :). The shower was held at the El Paso Golf Club. It turned out to be a beautiful day, a nice get together, and a fun way to meet Steph's family and friends. We look forward to having her in the Sennott/Dressler clan!

Mmmm....Sugar Cookies

Using the sugar cookie mix from Stephanie's Wedding Shower, Livi, Joey, and I made some delicious sugar cookies. They LOVE using the cookie cutters to make all kinds of designs; and before Joey eats any of his cookies, he always runs around the house saying what he is eating. I absolutely love spending time with my children, doing fun projects, and seeing life through their eyes!

T-R-O-U-B-L-E spells Zoie

Little Miss Zoie has been quite the trouble maker the last couple of weeks. She is officially too big for her cage and thus when we leave we have to pin her in the toy room. Well lets just say Zoie is loving her independence. Last night this is what Jason came home to in the toy room. Now granted Zoie destroyed HER toy basket, but that is not the point. She is really being ornery lately!
