Happy First Anniversary Grandma and Jim

Happy First Anniversary Grandma and Jim, we love you!

Livi, Joey, and I stopped by for a visit to bring them an anniversary gift.

Work of Art

Today, Livi, Joey, Jas, and I dyed Easter eggs. This has become a fun family tradition, that Livi and Joey love. Livi and Joey could each decorate three eggs each. They were a work of art!

Hello Easter Bunny!

This weekend, we brought Olivia and Joey to visit the Easter Bunny. To our surprise, they both were comfortable with sitting next to the Easter Bunny and taking a picture with him. Livi was so funny, she brought carrots for the Easter Bunny, and before she left his side, she asked him if he would bring her the movie Tangled. I absolutely love seeing the world through Livi and Joey's eyes, their innocence and curiosity is amazing!

After visiting the Easter Bunny, Livi chose to ride the carousel, and Joey rode the "choo choo." It was a fun night out!

Poor Dogs

Miss Olivia loves to play dress up with the dogs. She often puts jewelry on them (notice the bling the dogs had on in the Easter photo), and yesterday she decided to make them into the Statue of Liberty. What can I say, we have tolerant dogs!

Tug of War

Bella and Zoie love playing tug of war together!

Puzzle Time

Joey got some fun Thomas train puzzles for his birthday and we decided to sit down and put one together. He loved it!

March of Dimes 2011

This weekend we participated in the our 3rd March of Dimes. This years team was Livi, Joey, mom, Jim, and myself. We decided to march in Springfield this year since it is our home town and where Livi and Joey were born. It was fun seeing some of the nurses that took care of Joey, and see families who were in the NICU the same time we were.

The day was kind of dreary due to the weather, but it was a great day nonetheless. Our team raised $500 dollars this year, and the whole Springfield March of Dimes raised $150,000!

We love participating in the March of Dimes. This is a wonderful organization that helps hospitals and families in need. They support such an important cause that is dear to our hearts....preemies.

A BIG thank you to all of our family and friends for donating money to this amazing organization in honor of our precious preemies...Livi and Joey.

Best Friends

Livi and her best friend Ella from preschool. They have become very close this school year, and are playing on the same soccer team.

Heiple Artwork

This week Livi, Joey, and I got creative and made some crafts. Livi and I made a fun bumble bee, and then all three of us made buckets of popcorn. On each piece of popcorn we wrote words that described Joey and Livi. I love having quality time with my babies, time is just flying by too fast!

Happy Birthday Sweet Little Boy

Our Joey officially turned three on Wednesday! It is so hard to believe that our sweet little boy is already 3 years old!

His big day started early in the morning when he woke up and immediately went to the living room when I said he had birthday presents out there. The first thing he went for is his big boy bike. Then I was a mean mommy and told him that he had to wait a little while to open the rest of his presents (since Livi and daddy were still sleeping). So around 7, Joey decided it was time to open presents, so he went and woke daddy up. Joey loved all of his presents! He got Thomas puzzles, a trumpet, books, clothes, flashcard game, a golf set, a recorder, and a fun sea plane and boat. He had a blast!

After presents, I unfortunately had to leave for work, but we continued our celebration at lunch time. I came home to have lunch with the birthday boy, and also had birthday cake. Since daddy had to work at night, this was the only time we could celebrate as a family. Joey had an amazing birthday, thank you to all of our family and friends for all of your cards, phone calls, and gifts!

Happy birthday sweet boy! You make our days complete, and love you VERY much!

Wiped out from his big day!

Thank you Miss Lynn, You are the Best!

This week we sadly had to say good-bye to Miss Lynn, Joey's Developmental Therapist. Lynn has worked with Joey since he was 9 months old, and he has grown very fond of her. Every
Wednesday Joey would see Miss Lynn's car pull up and he would yell "Miss Lynn" and then run to the living room and sit down in the middle of the floor (where they had therapy). He loved working with her and playing with her. Lynn loved our little boy and was an amazing advocate for him. She was also wonderful with Olivia, and allowed her to participate in a lot of therapy activities. Thank you Lynn for all that you have done for our family and our little boy, you will be greatly missed!

As a thank you, Joey, Livi, and I made a flower pot. Joey made flowers with his hands, and Livi made a butterfly. It turned out great!

Sprinkler Fun

Great Grandma and Grandpa Sennott gave Joey an octopus sprinkler for his birthday. Today was so warm that we decided to pull it out and cool off. Livi and Joey loved it!
