The Flu Bug Attacks

This was a LONG week for the Heiple clan; I only took two pictures the entire week due to the circumstances. It all started on Tuesday when Joey got sick around lunch time. It came out of no where, he did not act sick at all. It came and left so quickly, I thought maybe he just ate something that upset his tummy. Well I was wrong. On Thursday, I received a text from Jason at work, saying that he started to get sick. So I hurried home to help with the kids and Jason was out for the count. Then on Thursday night, around midnight, Livi started getting sick to her stomach. I could not believe how sick Jas and Livi were! Jason was running a really high temp and chilled to the bone, and Livi was violently sick to her tummy. Then on Friday, Livi spiked a 103.8 temp and didn't break it until bedtime. Finally, you probably guessed it, I was on the couch Friday night extremely nauseous . Luckily I just got a touch of the bug and I am hoping that is all that I get.

What was bad with all of this, even my mom, who comes over to help if Jas and I are both down, was sick with the flu. She came over on Wednesday, right after Joey was sick, and by Thursday night she was very sick.

This is the second round of the flu we have had in this house, I am pleading with God that it is the last for this winter!

Happy 5th Birthday Sweet Olivia!

I almost want to cry when I think about my beautiful little girl turning 5 years old! Olivia's birthday weekend started on Friday when she celebrated her birthday at Preschool. She decided this year she would bring Dilly Bars for her treat. She also made up Barbie party favors to hand out to everyone. Livi had an amazing day, and we are so blessed to have her in such a wonderful school that makes her feel so special.
She continued her birthday weekend on Saturday, her actual birthday. We all woke up VERY early so that an excited Olivia could open her presents from us. Needless to say that Livi was pumped and ready for her big day.
Then at noon we had her family/friend birthday party. The party was a hit and Olivia had so much fun playing with all of her family and friends. The theme of her party was Rock n' Roll which included Barbie, Camp Rock 1 and 2, Jonas Brothers, Hannah Montana, and Selena Gomez. Olivia's cakes were a guitar cake and a round cake with all of the Disney Rock Stars. She absolutely loved ALL of her birthday gifts and has been playing with them non-stop since the party.
After the party, Jas, Joey, and I brought Olivia out to a birthday dinner at her favorite restaurant...Applebee's. Then to end the day perfectly for her, we brought her to Barnes and Noble to have our rice krispie treat and read books. At the end of the day, we brought home two exhausted kids!

A BIG thank you to all of our family and friends for coming to Livi's party and making her birthday an amazing day! We are so blessed to have all of you!

What is it?

What is it about Zoie's dog cage? Zoie and Bella love squishing into it, and the other day I found Olivia, Joey, and Bella in the cage. I guess the Heiple family just likes to be close.

Joeyroo

One of Joey's new favorite activity's is jumping on the bouncy ball. We have had that bouncy ball for a very long time and he just discovered it. He loves to bounce around the house.

We love Grandma!

I found these great Valentine's Day shirts the other day and thought they were very appropriate. Livi and Joey LOVE their grandma's and are very blessed to have such wonderful women in their lives!

Oh my!

This weekend we spent a lot of time at home, trying to stay in and warm. This gave Olivia and Joey a lot of time to play with all of their toys which at times can be quite entertaining. Two of those moments this weekend were...

1. Joseph putting on Olivia's roller skates and attempting to skate around the house.
2. Livi deciding to dress her brother up for a royal tea party...supposedly he is wearing a "princes" crown.

I absolutely love how well Olivia and Joey get along and are able to play with each other. I know that will change someday, but I sure hope it doesn't.

Rocket the Dog

On Monday Olivia brought a new friend home from school...Rocket the Dog. Rocket is a preschool buddy that goes home with every student for a week long vacation. At the end of Rocket's visit, Livi and I had to write a little journal entry about his vacation. Olivia was BEYOND excited that Rocket came to our house. She slept with him every night, played dress up, baked his favorite chocolate chip cookies, brought him to grandma's house, did puzzles, and read books with him. Livi is going to be so sad to send him back on Wednesday.

"The Violin"

Joseph is quite the music buff. He LOVES to play instruments. The other day, Joey grabbed Olivia's guitar and a Q-tip and said he was going to play the violin...the bass violin. I couldn't help but laugh...but I have a gut feeling that we are looking at a future professional musician.

A Great Gymnast

Livi is becoming a talented little gymnast. I am amazed at how strong she has become! Jason usually brings her to gymnastics every Thursday, but over winter break I had the opportunity to go and watch. Livi is becoming a good little gymnast!
