One man show

On Sunday, mom and Jim came by to visit before they headed north to mom's house. Mom and I were busy working on the computer, which left Jim entertaining Livi and Joey. When mom and I came out of the office, this is what we saw...

(Notice they both have cookie mouths...hmmm!)

Hello...anyone there?

Joey has started to mock and say a lot more. He still uses baby babble, but his babble is beginning to sound like real words. He loves to act like he is talking on the phone. He will dial a number, hold it to his ear and talk, then hang it up.

Joey has also learned the song "If Your Happy and You Know It..." He will babble to the tune (the actual tune) and then clap his hands. Jas and I don't prompt him, he does it on his own. He is quite the character!

(Sorry about the blurry pic, this kid is on the move CONSTANTLY!)

Sweet as pie!!!

These are some pictures I took today after church. Livi and Joey looked so cute in their church clothes, I couldn't resist pulling out the camera. This was the first time Joey wore a Chaps dress shirt and probably the last because it made him look so grown up! Once again time is flying by.

Burrr!

The fall weather is coming. Today it only got up to 65. It is crazy how 65 feels so chilly in the late summer/early fall, but in the spring we are ready to wear shorts in the 65 degree weather. Nonetheless, We all bundled up in our fleece sweats and watched a movie.

3 days to go!

Olivia is counting down the days until she goes to "her school." She was talking with her friend Jo Ann at church today about what she is going to wear at her first day of school.

On Friday, Olivia received a post card from Mrs. Ayers and Mrs. Tokgoz telling her they can't wait to see her on Thursday...Livi was so pumped about getting mail from her teachers!

Rocketpolooza!!!

On Friday I brought Livi and Joey to the Rocketpolooza before our school's first home football game. It was a mini fair with jumping houses, face painting, a few small games, and good food. It was nice to get a lot of the Rochester community together, and a lot of the proceeds went to my friend for her son's medical bills. (He is on my prayer list, Landon was diagnosed, this summer, with kidney cancer. He has undergone surgery and is now receiving chemo.)

Livi and Joey had a lot of fun jumping and playing games. Livi got her arm painted again, this time it was a bear.

To the fair we go!

Today, mom, Jim, Olivia, Joey, and I went to the State Fair. Mom and Jim treated Livi and Joey to a wristband that allowed them to ride ANY ride they wanted to, and the best part was the proceeds of the bands went to the Children's Miracle Network. Those two rode until they couldn't ride anymore.

Joey's favorite rides were the cars, the "horsies," and the giant slide. Olivia rode and loved everything. Let's see, she did the cars, horsies, ferris wheel, 4 jungle gyms, a roller coaster, the bungy jump, the bouncy houses, the helicopters, the dumbo ride, and many of these she did more than once. Here is a video of Olivia jumping.

We walked around and went to two petting zoos, visited the cows and horsies, Olivia got her arm painted, and treated ourselves to some delicious fair food.

Another thing we did was play the lottery. Little did we know, but Livi and Joey were good luck charms. When we played the lotto, I won $5 and Jim won $350.00. Yes, it is true, he won $350.00! We have a picture to prove it.

Finally, after 7 hours at the fair, we decided it was time to leave. A BIG thank you to grandma and Jim for the fun day at the fair!

Best of Friends

I have to say that I LOVE the stages that Olivia and Joey are in right now. Since the day Joey came home, Olivia has been a fantastic sister! She has always been very loving and protective of him; but since Joey has become more active, those two have become the best of friends. Joey idolizes Olivia and follows her everywhere. They are always playing together. Every day Joey wakes up before Olivia, he always wants to go in her room and wake her up (after he goes and lets Bella out of her cage). I need to capture every moment of this, because some day they will be fighting like cat and dog!

Oh My!

One of Joseph's new expressions is "oh my." Anytime we say that phrase, Joey puts his hands on his cheeks. Where does he get this stuff....Olivia?

Where are you going?

Since we went on vacation, Ollie hasn't been too fond of everyone leaving during the day. I got a fun photo opportunity yesterday when the kids and I were leaving for a party. Ollie was watching to see where we were going.

We love brownies!

When grandma Dressler was here today she made us a great lunch and BROWNIES! This was Joey's first taste of brownies and I think the picture tells it all. Olivia has always had a sweet tooth with cookies and brownies, and enjoyed every bite today.

Move that Dirt!

Today my dad, mom, and Jim came over to help us move the final 3 loads of dirt to the backyard. My dad brought his tractor and let Livi and Joey drive with him. They had a lot of fun. Olivia especially loves to drive things.
