One Blog-Tastic Week!!!

Last week was quite an eventful week in the Heiple house. It didn't start out so well for Olivia and Joseph, they had to go to the doctor and receive their flu shots...ow...and Joseph also received 6, count them, 6 vaccination shots...double ow! Once they got through that, the rest of the week was great!

Joseph got a clean bill of health. He is now about 12 lbs. and 24 1/2 inches long. He is officially out of all newborn and size 0 clothes, and is now wearing size 3/6 month! I can't believe how quickly he is growing! Some firsts for Joseph this week are learning to jump in his bouncy seat (which he LOVES) and starting to eat vegetables. So far his favs are sweet corn and sweet potatoes, anyone seeing a pattern forming? He is really gaining hand/eye coordination. Joseph loves to lay on his play mat and reach for Mr. Moose and pull him into his mouth. He also likes to bat at his lil chick on his bouncy seat. I absolutely love watching him discover new things!

Olivia is also growing by leaps and bounds. She is now officially in size 4T clothes at the age of 2. Where does she get that height...hum??? Olivia is extremely excited about Halloween coming up. Maybe this year she will be able to say "trick or treat." Last year it was pretty hit or miss and not comprehendable. This week at school she is having a Halloween party. She is just a little excited...she has only been asking us three times a day when she can go to school! Olivia's new tricks are doing a somersault all by herself, and learning how to cook pizza for daddy (she learned this skill at school when she made herself a pizza).

On Saturday, Olivia, Joseph, and I had a fun photo shoot day. Here are just a few of the pictures we took...I think I ended up taking about 100 pictures all together. I had some catching up to do :) Joseph needed his 6 month
photos and Olivia just needed some updated photos since she has changed so much!

Olie and Bella are just a crazy as ever. Bella has pretty much taken over the house despite being 75lbs. lighter than Olie. They get along VERY well and if they are not together, they often go searching for one another. Olie has taken on a new role in the household...babysitting. They often say dog is man's best friend,
but they are also man's best babysitter!

Well that is the news from last week. We hope this blog finds everyone well! We think about and pray for you daily!

The past week has been extremely hectic for Jas and I. At school we had Red Ribbon Week aka. Chaotic Week, and we had report cards go out . Jason has been working deligently on senior pictures, family photos, working, and oh yeah, has been taking care of two busy kids and two crazy dogs.

Catchin' up with the Heiples

Since Joseph came home, Jason and I have been really relaxed with our weekly updates, and I have felt like we have left Olivia out of the loop. To help correct both problems, we started this blog to help keep everyone up-to-date with the Heiple clan. We also want to keep you involved with the kids' lives as they grow and change. Everyday I am taken back by how quickly Olivia and Joseph are changing and getting bigger. If only we could tip the hourglass so time would stop going so fast.

This week Olivia was her busy 2-year-old self. She is really enjoying staying home with Daddy, Joseph, Ollie, and Bella. She went to school on Wednesday, and it was Dora day. She LOVES school!!! She actually begins to cry when we come together as a group to sing our good-bye song. School is just a special time for her to explore and have mommy all to herself for a couple of hours. Last night we measured her to be about 29lbs. and about 3 1/2 ft. tall.

Joseph had a rough start to his week. He received his first of many RSV shots...ouch! This week will not be much better because he will receive his immunizations and flu shots...double ouch! On the positive side, he went to Dr. Johnson (his pulmonary specialist) and received a good report. Dr. Johnson wants us to keep doing what we are doing and said Joseph will be off of the oxygen by Christmas (as long as all continues to go well). Joseph was also measured this week and he is 11 1/2 lbs. and 23 1/2 in. long.

Olivia and Joseph aren't the only two growing leaps and bounds in the house, I think Bella has doubled her length since she joined our clan. She and Ollie are two peas in a pod. They eat together, sleep next to eachother, and play outside almost all day together. Olivia loves her! She treats Bella like one of her dolls.

Jason and I are keeping busy as always. During the week we usually see eachother on the passing as I come home from work, and he leaves for work; but we do get some quiet time together when the kids go to bed :). We really enjoy the weekends when he comes home early in the evening and we can eat dinner as a family.

Well I think this was the first of many successful logs! We will try to be dedicated to at least one new blog a week with pics, but no promises :)

All our love and blessings!!!
